About Us

WHO ARE WE?

We are Catherine Slight and Lin Pearson. We live in Edinburgh, Scotland. After more than thirty years of travelling with the message of God's love, we are now more settled. It is an ideal opportunity to launch out into cyberspace!

Catherine: I became a Christian at the age of eleven, when I asked Christ to forgive my sin. [Yes - kids do sin and know it!] As soon as I was able, I became active in telling others about Jesus , first as a Sunday School teacher, and then from 1968 as a member of The Faith Mission, until I retired in 2002.

Lin: It was when I was a student in teacher training College that I became a Christian. Two years later, in 1972, I joined Catherine in the work of The Faith Mission. At first our work was among "teens" and "twenties", though it wasn't long before we knew God was leading us to extend our ministry, so as to reach children.

Catherine: Yes. We put in many thousands of miles travelling to camps and church events all over the United Kingdom and Ireland.

As we travelled we visited schools, teaching Religious Education classes and conducting assemblies. For fifteen years we taught weekly "Religious and Moral Education" classes in three of our local Primary schools and a Special school. We also travelled widely with a teacher-training seminar we had put together, to help Sunday School teachers and kid's leaders learn how to be more effective in reaching children for Christ.

Lin: Over more than three decades we have originated much material. If you are reaching kids for Christ, we want you to have access to it and feel free to use it in your work.
